We offer remote screening for potential TBI/concussion. This is critical in ealry assessment of patients with possible head injury when symptoms may present later or not recognized by the patient.

Symptoms associated with TBI/concussion can often present late and patients may not be aware that they have sustained a TBI/concussion and ideally it would beneficial to identify it early.

Patients benefit from identifying an injury that can have significant long term complications and residual issues. If a case is to settle it is important to identify all of the potential long term issues sustained in an injury so patients have the resources they will need for ongioing management.

The tests are easy to do. They are perfomed remotely and be completed on a computer and smart phone. The tests help to evaluate cognitive(mental) function and balance, both of which can be impacted by a TBI/concussion.

Yes, the tests are reliable and have been FDA approved for concussion screening. Thousands of tests have already been performed and normative data is available as well as validity scores. Bascially the tests are approved, reliable and validated.

When a patient completes an injury intake asessment if there is suspciion for head injury and possible concussion we will create a referral for addiitonal screening and arrangments will be made to have the patient tested. No additional work is needed by you or the patient.
